INTERACTIVE GAMING COUNCIL (IGC) PREPARES FOR THE CHALLENGES AHEAD,
APPOINTS NEW EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, September 26, 2003 — As the IGC prepares for the many challenges facing the online gaming industry, not the least of which is defending against efforts in the U.S. Congress to prohibit online gaming, the organization today announced the appointment of its new executive committee. The executive committee consists of individuals from IGC member companies, who provide day-to-day direction for the group and report to the IGC Board of Directors.

The Executive Committee consists of:

Sue Schneider, Chair, President of the River City Group, www.rivercitygroup.com, which provides research and marketing for the online gaming industry;
John FitzGerald, Vice-Chair, General Counsel of CryptoLogic, Inc., www.cryptologic.com, a major developer of online gaming software;
Mark Stone, Secretary, Vice President and CFO of Creative Edge Enterprises, Inc.www.creativenet.net, a web site design firm; and
Joanne Assheton, Treasurer, Representative of VIP Sports, www.vipsports.com, an Internet sports book and casino based in Curacao.

“The IGC looks forward to another year of championing the cause of regulated and responsible online gaming. The organization has been a consistent voice for the responsible interactive gaming industry, making the case for regulation and player protection to governments throughout the world,” said Sue Schneider, IGC Chair. “Our segment of the gaming industry, which is on the cutting edge of technology, still seems to generate plenty of political controversy. But I am confident that the new executive committee combines the professionalism, integrity and dedication necessary for the IGC to continue its seven years of leadership.”

Rick Smith, Executive Director of the IGC, said, “The IGC is fortunate to have the assistance of professionals from such diverse backgrounds who are willing to volunteer their time and energy to causes that foster the credibility of our industry.” The executive committee serves a one-year term, through August 2004.

ABOUT THE INTERACTIVE GAMING COUNCIL

With more than 70 members, the IGC is the leading trade association for the international interactive gambling industry. Its members operate or supply services to most of the reputable interactive gambling sites on the World Wide Web. To help parents protect their children, IGC members are encouraged to participate in the self-labeling system of the Internet Content Rating Association. The IGC has developed a Code of Conduct for its members, and a program called Helping Hand to assist problem gamblers.

In an effort to mobilize the thousands of U.S. citizens who enjoy online gambling, the Interactive Gaming Council developed a web site, www.profreedom.com, through which citizens can ask their Congressional representatives to oppose federal legislation that would block this form of entertainment.
